Milwaukee CoC - Coordinated Entry trainings including special populations

Milwaukee Coordinated Entry Guide

We’re excited to announce the release of the updated Coordinated Entry Training, developed to help staff and partners navigate the revised process that went into effect in October.

Including Special Populations: Youth, DV, and Veteran workflows

In the video, we walk you through the training, which serves as both a refresher and an essential update. We address some of the ongoing challenges we face—particularly the high demand and limited supply of housing resources—and emphasize the critical role of accurate data entry, proper client assessment, and provider responsibilities in ensuring a successful Coordinated Entry system.

This self-paced training is required for all individuals involved in the Coordinated Entry process. It provides a comprehensive overview of the new procedures, expectations, and HUD-compliant requirements to promote consistency and effectiveness across the community.

Additionally, the training includes specific guidance on serving special populations, including:

  • Youth
  • Veterans
  • Domestic Violence (DV) Bonus Program participants

These updates are designed to strengthen equity, accessibility, and support for those who may face unique barriers within the housing system.

Whether you're new to Coordinated Entry or have years of experience, this training will give you the knowledge and tools needed to implement the updated process with confidence. Completion of this training is vital for maintaining compliance and providing high-quality, client-centered services.

📌 Please be sure to review the procedures and policies discussed in the training.

Stay tuned for additional materials and resources in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we encourage everyone to complete the training as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued commitment to serving our community!
