Documenting Services

  1. Clarity does not use a standard service taxonomy and Services are customized at the agency and/or program level. For this reason, the available Services and their set-up will look different for each Agency.
    1. Note: If agencies have questions about their Services set-up or the available options please contact your System Administrator.
  2. Once a Program Enrollment has been created you can access the available Services under the Provide Services sub-tab.
  3. Services are grouped under broad categories, displayed on the right. In this example the Generic PSH program has Services in three categories, Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Case Management, and Rental Assistance.
  4. Clicking the small down arrow opens the service category. Depending on your Agency some Categories may have more than one Service Items as sub-categories.
  5. Once you have navigated to the correct Service, clicking on it will open a window where the Service information may be entered. This includes the date, a Service Note and when relevant, the ability to document expense information and the time spent providing the service.
  6. Click Submit at the bottom of the screen to Save the record.
  7. Once a Service has been entered it will populate in the client’s History tab.
  8. Once a Service is created it can also be updated to make it Private to comply with the desires expressed on the HMIS ROI. This is done by clicking Edit and toggling on the Private setting.
    1. Note that a Service cannot be marked as Private while creating it. This must instead be done after the fact using the Edit function.

Adding additional services to an exited client client

In order to add services after a client has been exited you will first need to reopen the client enrollment. Once this has happened additional services may be added following the steps outlined above. Be sure to exit the client again once this task is complete.
